Walnut, carved with flattened back. The standing Virign with traditional hat, the reading Child on her right arm. Mechelen town mark stamped on back (De drie Palen, The three Pales), marked "M" on the front for the polychromy. Orignial old polychromy with minor retouches and overpaintings. Minor damages due to age.
